Scott Bushley - Vanderbilt Alumnus and Investment Executive

After graduating with his bachelor of arts in psychology from Vanderbilt University, Scott Bushley started his career in the financial industry as a sales and operations assistant with Deutsche Bank Securities. Shortly thereafter, he served for three years in San Francisco as the vice president of the Private Client Services team of the Technology Group in an investment banking company. During brief periods as an intern and analyst with Sunflower Capital Partners and Atlantic Trust, Scott Bushley studied for his MBA at Boston College, after which he joined BNY Mellon Investment Management as the vice president of strategic business development.

Over the course of six years in this position, Scott Bushley provided financial oversight and due diligence on the firm’s acquisitions of Siguler Guff and BNY Mellon ARX while procuring a long-term assignment in Hong Kong to establish a comprehensive Asia-Pacific investment management business plan. Mr. Bushley was promoted to director of operations of global distribution in 2013 and later served as the head of global institutional and Americas operations before being promoted to the head of business operations in 2017. In September 2018, Scott Bushley became a partner responsible for finance and business operations at the Boston-based hedge fund manager Granite Point Capital, leveraging his 20 years of industry experience and executive leadership. Outside of his professional endeavors, he enjoys training for triathlons and spending time with his family.
